Award-winning Sojourners celebrate the launch of a new year and weekend brunch with a special performance on Sunday, January 19.
Ring and sing in the new year with some soul and sustenance at The Emerald with The Sojourners, Canada’s premier roots, gospel and blues group. The award-winning musical trio -- Marcus Mosely, Will Sanders and Khari McClelland -- will celebrate the start of The Emerald’s weekly weekend brunch on January 19 with a special performance. Proceeds from the Gospel Brunch will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Juno-nominated and a winner of the Western Canadian Music Awards, the Vancouver-based Sojourners perform spirit-lifting music on stages nationally and around the globe.
For the Gospel Brunch, as well as every subsequent weekend following this event, The Emerald’s all-you-can-eat Vegas-style brunch buffet showcases satisfying favourites, including: classic canapés; freshly-baked pastries; a build-your-own omelette station; bacon and breakfast sausage; waffles; salads, seasonal veggies and fruit; and an assortment of desserts, complete with candy station.
Tickets for The Emerald’s one-time Sunday Gospel Brunch on January 19 can be purchased at the restaurant or online for $25 at: eventbrite.ca. The Sojourners will perform from 12 to 3pm.
The Emerald’s regular all-you-can-eat weekend brunch (beginning Saturday, January 25) is priced at $12.95 per person with an early bird special from 10 to 11am for $10.95.
